                     Chew Valley Tramway Route

               A Heritage Walk by Saddleworth Museum

         Discover the route and history of the
         Chew Valley Tramway, built to aid the
         construction of the Chew reservoir. This
         guided walk starts outside The Clarence
         Hotel in Greenfield at 10.00am prompt on
         Sunday 23rd June.
         The walk is around five miles long, with
         some long inclines. Please bring lunch,
         drinks and wear suitable footwear. With
         stops for the guide to provide information
         the walk should finish not later than  Museum include the Plant Sale on 2nd
         4.00pm.                            June from 11am to 3.30pm, the Farmers’
                                            Market on 9th June from 9am to 2pm and
         Tickets are £3. You can book at    the Coffee Morning on 12 June from
         Saddleworth Museum on Uppermill High 10am to 12 noon. The family History
